Aeronautica Imperialis: Flight Command is out now

If you ever thought ‘I wonder what would happen if you took WW2-style aerial dogfights and put them in the Warhammer 40K universe?’, then the latest licensed 40K game releasing today will provide the answer. Aeronautica Imperialis: Flight Command pits the aces of the Imperial Guard's fighter command against the craziness of the Ork Air Waaaaggh! In turn-based aerial combat.

You command a small group of fighters as you engage in dogfights and bombing runs against ground targets. Both sides submit the orders for their units at the same time, and then the action plays out in real-time, before pausing. Rinse & repeat!

It releases today as a herald for Games Workshop’s Skulls for the Skill Throne sales of event on Steam. This is the fourth year in a row they’ve run the event, and it’s running from today until June 1st. We ran a free giveaway for the game earlier in the month - hopefully some of your got a chance to take it for a spin!

Here’s the launch trailer for Flight Command:

The event is being marked with a 10% launch discount, as well as some exclusive downloadable content as part of the wider ‘Skulls’ event, including an exclusive scenario, some fighter skins and Steam achievements.

Aeronautica Imperialis: Flight Command is available right now on Steam for PC priced at £18.99 / $24.99 / €22.99.
