Pick up some excellent strategy games via Humble this week

We like to keep an eye on places like Humble and Fanatical – between them, the offer a lot of potential for some great deals outside of the big seasonal events on Steam. This week we’ve spotted two separate bundles that you may be interested in.

Strategy Gamer is a Humble Affiliate.

Team 17 Bundle (Link)

Team 17 have just launched their own bundle today, so you’ve got a couple of weeks to jump on this one. There’s a mix of games in here, not all of them strategy, but a couple of gems we think are worth checking out:

For at least $1, you get access to Interplanetary (which we reviewed), Worms: Clan Wars and action/platformer Penarium.

If you pay at least $5.54 – or whatever the current average is by the time you get to the page – you also unlock:

  • The Escapists
  • All four bits of Escapists DLC – Alcatraz, Fhurst Peak Correctional Facility, Escape Team & Duct Tapes are Forever
  • A cooking game called Overcooked
  • Sheltered – a post-apocalyptic survival/disaster management game

Paying $10 will get you 2016’s Worms W.M.D., which was a rather excellent return to form for the franchise.

Apart from Overcooked, each game Is available to redeem on Windows, Mac and Linux platforms via Steam. The total bundle worth is $143, and at the time of writing (even though we’re less than 24 hours in), over 13,000 bundles had been sold already.

Board Games Bundle (Link)

Asmodee have sponsored their own Board Games bundle, which still has just under a week to go. Some of these are PC games, some of these are Android, so make sure you’re paying attention to what you’re getting:

At the $1 (minimum) tier, you get:

  • Abalone (PC & Android)
  • Agricola: All Creatures Big and Small (PC)
  • Harald: A Game of Influence (PC & Android)
  • Colt Express (PC)
  • Le Havre: the Inland Port (PC)

Pay at least $8, and you get:

  • Pandemic (PC)
  • Pathfinder Adventures (PC)
  • Splendor (PC & Android)
  • King and Assassins (PC & Android)
  • Fighting Fantasy Legends (PC)
  • Fighting Fantasy Legends Portal (PC)
  • Small World 2 (PC & Android)
  • Twilight Struggle

Quite a few high calibre digital board games in there – it’s almost worth it for Twilight Struggle alone, although it’s a shame they haven’t throw in the Android version of that as well. The total bundle worth is $139, and at the time of writing over 40,000 bundles had been sold.

Both bundles by default have Direct Relief as their chosen charity. They are based in Santa Barbara, California, and are an organisation that tries to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty. Their current efforts are aimed at helping victims of the California wildfires.
