Stardock Steps Up with Humble Sale - up to 75% off

By Joe Robinson 04 Nov 2019 0

The Halloween sale madness may be over, but there are still places to find a good deal if you’re looking for cheap games and as always, Humble is one of those places. This time it's strategy publisher Stardock Entertainment who’s taking a turn at discounting their modest library.

Strategy Gamer is a Humble Affiliate.

From now until Monday 11th November, 10am Pacific, there is up to 75% off a range of pretty decent strategy games. Let’s break down some highlights:

Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion (72% Off)

The best space 4X/RTS hybrid of its day, this has got a wonderful mixture of designs to provide a challenging (and often frantic) RTS experience. It’s also got a great mod scene, with the Sins of the Prophet Halo mod being my favourite. It’s an actual crime that this game hasn’t been given a sequel yet.

Offworld Trading Company (50% Off)

Offworld Trading Company is a more traditional RTS in terms of design, but in terms of theme it swaps out zerg rushing for economic dominance. You’re trying to out produce and out-sell the other competitors on the map. You can get the base game or the ‘Complete’ edition for half price, and there is a new DLC coming this year as well!

Galactic Civilizations III (Various)

Quite literally ‘Civilization in Space’, this is a bit of a marmite 4X game - you’ll either like it, or you won’t. Despite being set in space there’s something about it that doesn’t make it quite as accessible as Firaxis’ Civilization franchise, but it’s still a great experience if you like those kinds of games, and it makes no quibbles about what it is.

There's’ a number of different items on sale, including:

  • Galactic Civilizations 3 Core Edition (75% Off)
  • Galactic Civilizations 3 Gold Edition (67% Off)
  • A couple of individual expansions are also running a discount.

There are a couple of other games in the sale as well, like Ashes of the Singularity, but the above represents our top picks. Let us know if you pick anything up!
