Omnissiah Says What? New Adeptus Mechanicus 40K Game Announced

Games Workshops’s licensing division has done it again and struck a deal for a brand-new videogame set in their iconic Warhammer 40,000 Universe.

Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus is a turn-based tactical game being developed by Bulwark Studios, and published by Kasedo Games:

Take control of one of the most technologically advanced armies in the Imperium - The Adeptus Mechanicus. As Magos Dominus Faustinius, you’ll lead the expedition on the newly rediscovered planet of Silva Tenebris. Manage resources, discover long-forgotten tech, plan tactical operations using the Noosphere technology and control your Tech-Priests every move.

It also features a narrative-driven campaign written by Black Library author Ben Counter, and its hinted that there will be branching story-driven choices that will affect your troops and how the game plays out.

Bulwark Studios have one done one other game before this – 2014’s Crowntakers. Kasedo Games most recently brought us Rise of Industry, which is still in Early Access. They’ve also been the muscle behind other games such as Project Highrise, Crowntakers and they took over the custodianship of Hegemony Rome: Rise of Caesar from Kalyspo Media.

Admittedly, the Adeptus Mechanicus wouldn’t be my first choice for a new 40K that wasn’t about Space Marines and/or Orks, but at least we’re getting some diversity. You can check out more on the official Steam page.

Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus is due out on PC, Mac and Linux “late” 2018.
