XCOM 2 is the sequel to 2011’s XCOM: Enemy Unknown, a modern re-imagining of Julian Gollop’s iconic X-COM turn-based tactical strategy game. In XCOM 2, you play a small band of resistance fighters who are trying to reclaim the planet from alien invaders. You can customise and manage your squad and your mobile base in the strategy layer, and then take the fight to the aliens in tactical battles and skirmishes.

It was a bit of a rocky experience at launch, but has gotten better and better over-time, with some great mods and decent expansion content available depending on your wants & needs. If you’re looking to get the most out of XCOM 2 this week, we also have a class build guide, and a tips & tricks guide to help you play at your best.
