<t>Bill the reporters name was John Boruk if that helps. He told one of the GMs that the story could be found on the WGAL website. However their search function didn't turn anything up for me. <br/> <br/> Also as you mention that was a time when many people including some in attendance felt that the...

<t>I had an interesting experience on Friday. The local news channel sent a reporter, likely because we had a large event that had not been cancelled. I saw him interview Heather and he came over to where our Too Fat Lardies games were running. You likely saw the Arnhem bridge Chain of Command game....

<t>It seems that Covering Fire shares some mechanics with Arty Conliffe's Crossfire published in the late 90's. Movement terrain to terrain, continuous initiative until some failure like getting suppressed by op fire or failing to suppress with offensive fire. Initiative often did switch sides frequ...

Well done review. For now I'll stick with Hewwar's games in mobile format. I enjoyed their Peninsular War title for mobile.

<t>I too have recently been digging through some of my old SPI games. I found one disadvantage to the flat counter tray style box that SPI was known for; The glue dries up on the cardboard backing on the counter tray and it comes right off. Wonder how much Noble Knight deducts for that?<br/> <br/> N...

<r>If you do a list for the desktop publishing crowd I would recommend adding "The Perfect Captain" although the artwork on the rules, cards and counters of the various games could well be professionally done. A variety of rules for different periods are available (my favorites are Hoplomachia (Pelo...

<t>Bill I am waiting for this one to go EA on Steam before jumping in. Since I have actually played with miniature ships on the real Olympia my preference is for the early end of the timeline. The part for Pre-Dreads and Dreadnoughts as the title suggests. If you peruse the Game Labs forum you'll fi...

Excellent review. I have not had a chance to play yet but will soon. I did play a game of ESR this past weekend, giving a much more operational level feel to a Napoleonics game than BM though.
