Re: <t>Review: Command & Conquer: Rivals</t>

When your ability to compete is based on how much time you want to grind or how much money you want to spend, there is no longer any strategy involved. This is pure garbage.

I'll give your review a look but I'm not optimistic at this point.

Re: <t>C&C Rivals is A Great Mobile RTS with a Monkey on its Back</t>

I am a person who is willing to give mobile games a try; Diablo on mobile doesn't bother me simply because it is on mobile, for example. I'll let the game be judged on its own merits, and if it is a good game on a mobile platform, great! Mobile devices have some gems. I am also a person who isn't in...

I'll never understand why Worms doesn't get the love I think it deserves. The addition of asynchronous play should have catapulted that game to legendary status, but nobody seems to care. And why in the world did they then remove asynchronous multiplayer from Worms 4? It is a weird one. I don't thi...

Re: <t>Hands on with Command & Conquer: Rivals</t>

I've never had a problem with established IPs being turned into mobile games; mobile isn't inherently bad and can be a good platform for interesting twists on certain games. Complaining that a game is mobile just because of the platform is idiotic. The biggest problem, which you highlighted, is that...

Re: <t>E3 2018: Command & Conquer: Rivals Announced</t>

I think it is about time we stop calling these abominations "games." I, personally, don't have too many issues with the core concept of the game as described, and I don't even mind that it uses the Command & Conquer license. The problem is that we all know that gameplay will be a hollow husk aimed s...

Re: <t>Pocket Tactics Presents: The Best iOS Board Games and Card Games (Android too!)</t>

Swapped out Patchwork for Neuroshima Hex . Because I can. Why not just add Neuroshima Hex. Patchwork is a great 2-player game that can be very appealing to non-gamers. Plus, it actually works. Neuroshima Hex is one of my favorite games but the online is very broken. I can't even invite friends to g...

What is Scythe doing that hasn't been done by games like Terra Mystica or Through the Ages, both of which are more complex and fiddly on the table?
