Re: Out Now: Hitting the Grape Juice Edition

I like Swap Sword a lot. A smart little match-3 that brings something new to the genre. It is a bit too short and you may well finish it on your first 10mn run, but its scoring system is enticing. I myself played for a couple of weeks and finally scored a whooping 587 points: I'm pretty proud of it!...

Re:

Regarding Lost Portal, did they ever address the issue of the finite amount of enemies to fight? For instance, once a dungeon is cleared, its always cleared? So if I make some poor choices in deck contruction and come up against an opponent I cannot beat, there is currently no way to "grind" exp, g...

Re: Out Now: Surpise RPG Edition

I've been playing Neon Chrome for a week on PC: it's very cool, indeed. It plays like a rogue twin-stick shooter in randomly generated office buildings. Each run sees you take control of a new avatar with his/her own set of skills and equipment. During the course of the run, your asset will find new...

Re:

I've tried this a few months ago and just could not get into it. The interface feels cheap and rough. Also the encounters are hard in the beginning that I could not win enough gold before losing it to purchase any new cards, making progression a big issue for me. Has the developer fixed or improved...

Re: Review: Lost Portal

Well deserved. Lost Portal is my favorite iPhone game for weeks: my Magic years are far but the itch never quite fades.

Re: Review: Paperback

The idea and production are both top notch, but the game falls a bit short: it lacks challenge (I beat the "smarter" AI and I'm not even a native speaker) and scenario, diversity and a sense of progression. Good letter game though, but you'll have to set your own challenge (what's your best word? Mi...

Re: CCG Special: By The Numbers

It seemed I was just buying the "best" card available at the time, rather than trying to build around synergies. It seemed you could grab a card that could interact with another set of cards, but had no guarantee you would ever be offered that "tribe" again. Was anyone else put off by this, initial...

Re: Solitaire board / card games

Robinson Crusoé is a very nice solo game - though it tends to spread all over the diner table which can become an issue when your 2 hours-long game is not quite finished and it's a school night and the kids need to eat so get this f*cking boardgame out of here NOW FFS should have listened to my moth...
