Das war ein Witz, oder?

That lady in the Zoo.....well maybe it has to be a generation thing but she may not be that representative at all.
That being said....we in South Germany have a different kind of humour so maybe this is to be expected :-)
Mrs StC, who is a proud Münchnerin, amongst her other charms, has a rather dry and acerbic sense of humour. It may be why she's fitted in so well. She went to an expat-German meetup, however, and was moderately appalled by the experience. I think they may have been a bit northern :)

More seriously, we also have a deeply personal stake in what happens on 23 June, and are worried by the outcome if the elderly-xenophobe coalition wins. Some Britons have already sorted out a plan B; http://www.sueddeutsche.de/muenchen/sta ... -1.2996659. All the more reason to be grateful for a B1-level certificate and to revise extra hard for my B2 German exams...

Goddammit. There's prescience for you. If only I'd gone out and bought a crap-load of Euros two weeks ago.
