Mon Apr 24, 2017 1:33 pm

Lean in close, I have a confession to make. I'm a terrible wargamer, and not for lack of trying.

Why is it fashionable for reviewers and commentators to give a history why they suck at a particular genre or game series?

I was really excited to see this article's headline. I was then really disappointed to realize that the article had not been updated this year. It hints at the "upcoming" publication of a new game in the series. The article is dated today, Aug. 7. Come on, guys.

Definitely not in the league of these 3 commercial games, but - shameless plug - my little "nothing to install and quick to play" Web-based implementation of the venerable Battle for Moscow may be considered a decent introductory wargame for beginners too: https://oberlabs.com/b4m (solitaire mode only for now)
