I was so surprised there wasn't an RTS released to coincide with The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Warner Bros really dropped the ball. It so obvious they wouldn't even have needed to use the BFME moniker (and thus run afoul of EA's lawyers).

I suspect RTS as a genre was considered too risky at the time by the business peons. Only recently has there been something of a Renaissance in the genre, also coinciding with renewed interest by the mainstream in PC as a gaming platform.

I loved this game as a child and spent countless hours playing it! Even so, some of your gameplay tips were new to me so thanks for the guide.
I'm surprised but very pleased to know that so many people still play this game online and I'm now looking forward to playing again and feeling the nostalgia!
